Feminism In Media

Feminists believe that Media is generally dominated by Male Musicians, Actors etc. They argue that it is mainly a male "superhero" saving a "damsel in distress" who needs saving and is very rarely the other way round. Feminism was created with women arguing about the views of women being objects and being regarded as lesser human beings compared to men. 
A women called Laura Mulvey argued that media was created by men for men for example by adding women to have some "eye candy"  and that women look at the media created in two ways, voyeuristically and fetishistically. Mulvey argued that women on screen were turned into objects by having them scantily clad and sweet and innocent which attracts the men viewing the woman not as a human being which is argued as the male gaze.
